If I kept score of the amount of times I finished my yearly reading challenge it would look something like this: Reading Challenge- 3, Marie- 0. But not this year. This year, I'm conquering my reading challenge.

For the last three years I've tried to do a reading challenge, and I haven't been able to finish one. Don't get me wrong, I am an avid read, and I read over 100 books a year, but sometimes I get picky and only read what I want. Or I have a list of about 20 books that I'm going to read, so I start by reading a couple but don't finish the list. But this year is different.

1. I shortened the list. Instead of doing a list of 20+ I'm sticking to 12.
2. I'm committed. I wrote this on my goal for the year, and I've already got an idea of some of the books I want to read.

With an idea of what I wanted to read, and some help from Popsugar, here is the list of 12 books I'm reading this year.

Marie's Reading Challenge

  • A business book
  • A book that has a color in the title
  • A book I owned but never finished
  • A book I borrowed from someone else
  • A book made into a move I've already seen
  • A childhood classic I never read
  • A book from a celebrity book club
  • A past Goodread's Choice Awards Winner
  • A book by two authors
  • A novel based on a real person
  • A banned book
  • A book set in a different country

So there you have it. I'm going to kill it, and I'll be sure to keep you guys updated. Are you doing a reading challenge this year? What are some of the books you're reading? Do you have any book suggestions for my reading challenge?
